Caura to Lopinot Villages Hike
Fellow hikers....it is with regret that this hike has to be cancelled to a later date as on this very day, a contingent of hikers from Barbados will be in Trinidad and on this very day, another hike is scheduled for them. I do apologize for this inconvenience.
Gentle terrain every step of the way from Caura to Lopinot. Flat trekking from the beginning through natural forest which will eventually lead up a steady hill, though not steep throughout until at last the summit is there. Pending on the time of year, both valleys are visible at the summit.
From the summit, steady downhill trekking where at first, trekking downhill is steep eventually tapering off to a gentle downhill trek until the sight of abandoned cocoa estates notifying that Lopinot Village is not far ahead. The trail ends at the top of asphalt road which we trek until we reach to the well known "Mariposa Guest House", home of the Guerrero family who will accommodate us as we await our transport.
Pending on the time of year, beautiful aerial views of the 2 valleys
