Meeting place: The "EXIT" of Pricesmart on the Churchill Roosevelt Highway, ARIMA

Cost: $75. per hiker. Children under 12 years (FREE)

In the very quiet fishing village of Balandra, we stop off at Alcindor Trace and our hike begins. We trek first along asphalt road up a gently graded hill to the summit. Trek thereafter downhill all the way to the Balandra stream, and on then other side of the stream, this time along natural forest terrain, we trek uphill once again until we veer right this time onto narrow trail all the way to our destined attraction "BALANDRA BASIN" which is a gem of a pool that is deep all around, so life jacket is a MUST for the non or weak swimmer.



Two different river pools can be visited 3 minutes walk apart.


Wear long/short trousers.

Wear long/short sleeve tops. No sleeveless.

Wear hiking shoes/trainers with good grips under the soles. No slippers or sandals please.

Use a backpack thereby keeping both hands totally free.

Bring along mosquito repellent.

Bring a change of clothing which will be left in the vehicles.
