Homard Waterfalls and Beach
This hike is heavily recommended to folks who are staying in Grande Riviere area during the "Turtle Laying Season"
The drive to Grande Riviere is very scenic. Beautiful beaches on this route provides great satisfaction and relaxation. Trek up a gently graded hill through pristine, natural forest for a maximum time of 45 minutes.
After walking for about 10 minutes, head further uphill to the summit, and cross a small stream to "Homard Waterfall". Venture on a steep downhill trek to a very attractive pool. Although "Homard Waterfall" is not as towering as compared to the rest, it is actually quite enticing. It can comfortably accommodate 15 persons.
From here, the return trek leads to Old Paria Main Road. Hear waves of nearby "Homard Bay" to the right. Hike further up a short but steep hill towards the beach and carefully negotiate over large rocks. On the beach, take a swim once the tide is OK.
