Habio - a.k.a. Rincon Waterfall
Best time for this hike: January - December
Rincon Waterfall in the second tallest waterfall in Trinidad and Tobago
This hike is rated (5) moderately challenging
Take a refreshing swim in a small pool along the route to Rincon waterfall. Walk through untouched forest throughout, and be mesmerize by the tall and attractive Rincon/ Habio waterfall which has an ultimate pool.
On hiking to Rincon Waterfall, the trail is clear from Rincon Village to a secluded pool called “Black
pool”. This juncture represents half of the distance to Rincon waterfall. Take a long walk further through hills that are not very steep.
“Black pool” is ideal for a quick swim or a bit of rest. Because of many misleading side trails, it is imperative to stay close together or risk being lead further into deep forest instead of the waterfall.
A very steep and badly eroded trail signifies
that Rincon waterfall is just a stone's throw away. A great pool with both shallow and deep ends appeals to both swimmer and non-swimmer.
Life jackets will be provided upon request. Ropes and other safety devices will also be on hand.Book Now
