Details of the hike

From Bellerand Road where we park, we start our journey up a very difficult trail popularly known as "Archer's Trail" which ultimately brings us to the summit of the tallest peak in Chaguaramas known as "Morne Catherine" (1,742 feet) and about 1.8 miles completed at this point. Be warned that this Archer's Trail is a constant steep uphill trek that can bring out the best of even a fit hiker. When we eventually reach to the Morne Catherine Road, we are just about 800 meters from the summit.

At the summit, we take another trail leading to the Golf Course/Macqueripe trail. Along the way, we veer off this trail and in uncharted territory, we trek through virgin forest all along undulating terrain all the way until ultimately we emerge at the very top of the popular Edith waterfall. Because of the thick vegetation here, we will get some views of below Tucker Valley.

We take the trail in to get back on the main trail where we trek all the way to the Golf Course Trail where we veer right and when we eventually get to the Golf Club, we trek a short way back to our waiting vehicles.
